Best socks eva

I don't usually write reviews however, these are the best socks ever- glad to have found them again.
I have a pair I purchased to walk the Overland track in 2006 and I still use them-so there you go-they last, and are great to wear.

Soo Comfortable

Love these lightweight socks! They do the job, without feeling like the traditional heavy, thick hiking socks. Quick delivery too!

Proper thick, warm socks

These are proper thick, warm socks in an era of thin socks all made in China. Well worth the extra expense.

Too long to ship

I paid for express shipping expecting a swift process, it took the store 8 days to even ship the goods. Pretty disappointing.

Hi Jon,

Thanks for your message and sorry to hear that. Note, we did communicate there were delays with Bridgedale at the time of ordering on the product page and at checkout page, and that Bridgedale may not ship immediately even with Express. Not to worry as these messages are sometimes missed. Hope you like the socks though.

Regards,

Bridgedale Women's MERINO HIKE Socks - Lightweight Heather

Always a good hiking sock. A staple in my wardrobe which I stock up on regularly whenever they are on sale. I never get hot feet in them and they are very comfortable.

Bridgedale cool max ultra light

Fine socks, i have been using this brand for about 30 years with a view to ultra running etc. Since moving to NZ from UK i have found the full range hard to find so when i see them i get them. It takes way too long to get here after ordering them (i thought they came from Aussie). They need to look at their courier company because 2-3 weeks from Australia to NZ is silly. I get stuff from Uk in half the time so its not a covid excuse issue. However these socks are light and durable and of good quality. I use them for weight training, mt biking in cooler weather (in hot weather they are too much) and general hiking with the dog. High enough for boots and ok for trainers they are pretty good all rounders.

Could be improved

The foot is comfy, but the elastic around the top is too tight. Not good with varicose veins.

Description

Ultralight, low T2 micro-cushioned merino sock with maximum ventilation for warm weather.

Features:

  • Moisture management system allows the transfer of moisture away from the surface of the skin to keep feet warm, dry and comfortable.
  • Every course has LYCRA® running through it giving a close supportive fit from foot to calf.
  • Thermo setting every Bridgedale sock ensures a perfect fit. Wash after wash the sock returns to its designed size ensuring a perfect fit every time.
  • An almost invisible toe seam closes the toe box, creating a comfortable, flat seam that doesn't create excess bulk or cause irritation.
  • Forward Flex prevents the sock from ‘bunching’ under the shoe tongue which helps to ensure comfort.
  • Bridgedale’s open mesh structure reduces insulation and promotes easy moisture transportation.
  • ShockZone: an advanced zonal padding system that provides extra support and comfort to areas of the foot and leg.
  • Y-heel creates a 3D-shaped heel cup that prevents excess bulk and slippage which helps to ensure comfort.
  • T2: a loop within a loop that offers an additional level of impact protection resulting in all day long comfort.
